
GABRIEL QUINTERO: GAFFER
Trained at the Florida State University School of Motion, Television
and Recording Arts, Gabriel Quintero has worked on commercials, shorts
and feature films for over eight years. As a cinematographer, his
films have screened at 30 major film festivals from around the world:
Chicago
International Film Festival, and Directors Guild of America just
to name a few. He was awarded “Best Cinematography” for
his work on the award-winning short film Hunger at the Cine de Umbria
Film Festival in Italy and nominated at the Ashland Independent Film
Festival. Gabriel Quintero’s
last
directing venture, Fairy Steps: A Gay Intervention, has been requested
to screen at Outtakes Film Festival, The San Francisco International
and Austin Gay and Lesbian Film Festivals. Program Director of the
Fresno California Reel Pride Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Stephen
Mintz, expressed his admiration for the film: “I loved it!” On
the side, Gabriel Quintero performs with theatre companies throughout
South Florida: Mere Mortals, All in the Timing,
The Real Thing, Imagine, A Perfect Ganesh, The House of Yes, and
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940.
